As one-person entrepreneurs, the corona virus also poses great challenges for sex workers. The Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKO) provides some important answers on corona for one-person entrepreneurs and informs about support possibilities and immediate measures. You can find more information HERE. Among other things, all SVS (formerly SVA) insured persons have the possibility to apply for payment in instalments and deferral of SV contributions.

Using the application form for special regulations concerning coronavirus, you can apply for tax relief at the Austrian tax office. You can find more information and the application form to download on the website of the Federal Ministry of Finance. Also, the deadline for submitting the 2019 income tax return was extended to 31 August.

Information on Hardship Fund

Self-employed persons who are economically significantly threatened by COVID-19 can apply for support. Attention! A separate application must be submitted for each period under consideration.

The new guidelines for phase 4 of the WKO Hardship Fund are available. Applications can be submitted as of 01.12.21. Applications can be submitted for the months of November, December, January, February and March. The deadline for applications is 02.05.2022.

Medical care without healthcare insurance

The neunerhaus health centre in Vienna’s 5th district offers general medical care and social work counselling for people who do not have healthcare insurance. If required, video interpreting is available in more than 50 languages.
